Home styles are not typical track houses and they range from 1920 Mediterranean Revivals, Ranch styles of the 1950s, Sarasota School of Architecture Modern Vernacular, to water front mansions of all shapes and styles. The neighborhood is attractive because of its community, it's bayfront parks and old tree canopy. It is in close proximity to Downtown Sarasota and Sarasota's many Beaches, Ringling School of Art, Ringling Museum, Marietta Museum of Art & Whimsey, New College and FSU.
